Medtronic Awarded $101.2 Million in Patent Infringement Case

Medtronic announced, September 22, 2011, that the US District Court of the Southern District of California in San Diego, found NuVasive's CoRoent XL implants, MaXcess II and III retractors, and Helix and Helix mini anterior cervical plates to infringe three patents owned by Medtronic that cover certain spinal implant technology.  The jury awarded Medtronic $101.2 million in damages.  For more information: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-09-22/medtronic-roche-hadassah-aol-google-intellectual-property.html.
